Using  the  oils  on  our  pets  is  very  beneficial  for  them!

Diffusing Essential Oils for Animals

Many people have asked me if it is safe to diffuse essential ois around their pets, especially cats and birds.  My answer will always be absolutely, as long as you are using Young Living Essential Oils.  Young Living's theraputic quality enhances your pets wellness in body, mind and spirit while impure essential oils build up in their sensitive body and contribute to illness.

We diffuse oils in our house all the time and my dog and cats don't mind at all.  In fact when I run our Therapro Diffuser in our bedroom for hours and hours, both the dog and the cats choose to be in there.  They are free to leave at any time, but they choose to stay in with the diffuser running.

If you have your diffuser in an enclosed small room with your pets then it might be better to use the "Home" diffuser that uses water with the oils.  The mist will not be as intense.

Diffusing in a small room where you can close your pet in can come in handy when you have a dog with kennel cough or any of your pets have a respiratory issue.  You can even diffuse oils into a horse's stall to help with heaves or chronic coughing.

Young Living's cold air diffuser is designed to atomize a microfine mist of esential oils into the air where the very small droplets can remain suspended for several hours.  Unlike aroma lamps or candles, a diffuser disperses essential oils without heating or burning.  This is very important because heat destroys the theraputic constituents.

When we inhale the essential oils they enter the bloodstream via the lungs.  The lungs govern the immune system.

When oils are diffused in the home, kennel, aviary or barn they purify the air by removing toxins and other harmful microscopic debris.  They can also increase the atmospheric oxygen of the air, boost levels of beneficial ozone and negative ions which drmatically inhibits the growth and reproduction of airborne pathogens.  Further more, diffusing the oils into the air will also fight airborne bacteria, viruses, mold and fungi.

It's wonderful to diffuse oils such as Thieves, Purification and Frankincense around your haystack to help inhibit the growth of mold spores.

Diffusing oils is extremely helpful to all the animals and humans in the house and the barn!
